SSSS College of Commerce for Women, Amritsar, conducted a Charcha Session on “Generation Gap” on February 1, 2025, in the Rose Villa for the second year students. The session commenced with the SSSS Anthem recitation. A panel of six students from different semesters, including Nikhar and Vanshika from B.Com. FS VI, Priyanka from B.Com FS IV, and Sonam, Nazuk, and Laxmi Maurya from B.Com. VI, led the discussion. The core theme explored was the frequent misidentification of communication breakdowns as generation gaps. The discussion emphasized the importance of building strong relationships with parents and teachers through effective communication, choosing appropriate words and expressions, and maintaining respect while conveying perspectives. Students were encouraged to recognize that many perceived generation gaps are actually communication gaps that can be bridged through open dialogue and mutual understanding. The session highlighted the significance of approaching elders with respect rather than fear and viewing generational differences positively. Through such Charcha sessions, the college continues to foster an environment that promotes open communication and understanding between different generations. The highly interactive nature of the session saw enthusiastic participation from both teachers and students, fostering meaningful dialogue.

This session was coordinated by Mrs. Ravneet Arora, Ms. Sirjan Arneja, and Ms. Simranjit Kaur.
