An Inter house Rangoli Making competition was organized in Modern High School on October 26, 2019. Four houses viz. Satluj, Beas, Ravi and Jhelum participated and created colorful rangolis on the theme of Diwali.On the same day, An Art Exhibition displaying beautiful decoratives made by students for Diwali was organized as well.

Modern High School organized a card making competition for Class VIII on October 24, 2019. More than 85 participants designed beautiful greeting cards for Diwali using art and craft material within the stipulated time.
Save Environment Rally
A “No Crackers, Save Environment” rally was carried out by the students of MHS on Oct 24, 2019. The students of class X along with the teachers carried placards depicting messages viz. ‘Cracker-Less Diwali’, ‘Green Diwali, Happy Diwali’, ‘Clean India, Green India’ etc. urging people to have an Eco-friendly Diwali.
Inter School Tennis Ball Cricket Diwali Cup
The Ist Inter School Ball Cricket Diwali Cup was organized by Great Sports Cultural Club at Vivek Public School on Oct 23, 2019. Cricket team(U-14) of Modern High school participated in the match. Certificate of appreciation was awarded to all the participants in the end.

English Literary Club of Modern High School organised An Inter Class Spell Bee Competition on Oct 11, 2019. 45 participants from classes VIII to X were asked to write the meanings and spellings of 10 difficult words. Students found this initiative to be of great help in enriching the vocabulary bank.
Cleanliness Awareness Drive
